Pak Mail Ole Miss

For this long-term partner, I pushed the boundaries of what a franchise site can do by building a fully customized Mailbox Rental System on the WordPress and Enfold framework. This isn’t just a front-end site; it’s a functional piece of software that automatically assigns mailbox numbers to students and pushes that data via API to PackageX for real-time mail tracking.

I also engineered a Custom Staff Dashboard to give the Ole Miss team a centralized hub for managing rentals and customer data. By automating the link between the rental process and the notification system, I turned a complex, manual task into a streamlined digital workflow that handles the high-volume demands of a major university campus.

The Challenge

Managing thousands of student mailbox rentals at Ole Miss was a massive manual undertaking. The challenge was to move away from spreadsheets and disconnected systems to create a unified platform that could handle rapid-fire assignments and sync perfectly with their external package tracking software.

The strategy was to build a “smart” rental bridge. We needed to ensure that the moment a student rented a box online, the system handled the logic—assigning the next available number and updating the PackageX database instantly—without requiring a single keystroke from the staff.

Automated Rental Engine: Logic-based system that assigns and manages mailbox inventory in real-time.
PackageX API Integration: Custom-coded sync that pushes rental data directly to the tracking platform.
Staff Management Dashboard: A private internal tool for the team to oversee rentals, assignments, and reporting.
