701 Bayport Way / LBK Condo Rental

WordPress Design, Vacation Rental Architecture, and Coastal Lifestyle Strategy.

I designed an immersive and sun-drenched digital storefront for 701 Bayport Way using WordPress and the Enfold theme. For a high-end vacation rental located in the exclusive Longboat Key (LBK) area of Florida, the website needed to do more than just list a property—it had to sell a lifestyle. I focused on a visual-first, airy aesthetic that utilizes high-resolution photography and expansive white space to mirror the serene, upscale experience of a Gulf Coast getaway.

Beyond the visual appeal, I engineered the site with a focus on User Convenience and Booking Efficiency. I organized the property’s amenities, local recommendations, and floor plans into a clear, intuitive architecture. By prioritizing a mobile-responsive design, I ensured that travelers can explore the condo, check the availability calendar, and initiate booking inquiries seamlessly from their smartphones, establishing the property as a premier choice in a highly competitive vacation market.

“For a vacation rental, the website is the first day of the guest’s holiday. I focused on a design that reflects the peace and luxury of 701 Bayport Way, ensuring that from the first click, the traveler feels they have already arrived in paradise.” — Doug Walker

The Challenge

The vacation rental market in Florida is incredibly saturated, with owners competing against both local listings and massive platforms like Airbnb and VRBO. The challenge for 701 Bayport Way was to create a direct-booking destination that feels more personal and professional than a generic listing. We had to solve the puzzle of providing a “virtual walkthrough” that highlights the unique features of the condo—like its bayfront views and modern upgrades—while maintaining a fast-loading, secure technical foundation.

The Strategy

The design strategy focused on “Coastal Immersion.” We prioritized a layout that lets the imagery do the heavy lifting, using a sophisticated palette of sea-glass blues and crisp whites. By organizing the site into specific “Guest Experience Zones”—such as The Condo, Amenities, and Explore LBK—we created a narrative that guides the visitor from curiosity to a confirmed reservation. The visual strategy emphasized transparency, using detailed galleries to build immediate trust with prospective guests.

The Solution

  • Property-First UI: A clean, elegant design built on the Enfold theme that highlights the high-end finishes and unique location of the unit.
  • Integrated Availability & Booking: A streamlined system for guests to view open dates and submit inquiries, reducing friction in the reservation process.
  • Mobile-Optimized Travel Hub: A fast-loading, responsive design that serves as a 24/7 digital concierge for guests before and during their stay.
  • Local Authority Content: Dedicated sections for Longboat Key attractions and dining to position the property as the ultimate “insider” vacation home.

The Result

701 Bayport Way now possesses a polished, high-performance digital hub that perfectly reflects its status as a luxury vacation destination. The site is fast, secure, and serves as a powerful 24/7 representative for the property, successfully bridging the gap between a digital search and a physical check-in. By modernizing their digital presence, I’ve provided the owners with a platform that is as welcoming and refined as the condo itself.
