For this long-term partner, I pushed the boundaries of what a franchise site can do by building a fully customized Mailbox Rental System on the WordPress and Enfold framework. This isn’t just a front-end site; it’s a functional piece of software that automatically assigns mailbox numbers to students and pushes that data via API to PackageX for real-time mail tracking.

I also engineered a Custom Staff Dashboard to give the Ole Miss team a centralized hub for managing rentals and customer data. By automating the link between the rental process and the notification system, I turned a complex, manual task into a streamlined digital workflow that handles the high-volume demands of a major university campus.

Reason to Dance

The Challenge

The primary challenge was managing the diverse needs of a large-scale fundraising event. The site had to act as a marketing tool to attract sponsors, a registration platform for attendees, and a donation portal for supporters who couldn’t attend. We needed to solve the puzzle of organizing celebrity dancer profiles, event timelines, and a complex ticketing system into a layout that remains easy to navigate under the high traffic of event season.

The Strategy

The design strategy focused on “Mission-Driven Conversion.” We prioritized a layout that keeps the cause—supporting the children at Riley Hospital—front and center. By using high-resolution imagery of past competitions and integrated video content, we created an emotional connection that encourages visitors to take action, whether that’s voting for a celebrity dancer or purchasing a table for the gala.

The Solution

Custom WooCommerce Ticketing: A streamlined checkout process for tickets and tiered sponsorship packages.
Celebrity Fundraising Portals: Dedicated pages for each “Dancing with the Stars” style pairing, allowing fans to vote and donate directly to their favorite team.
Mobile-Responsive Auction Hub: A fast-loading, secure environment optimized for real-time bidding and mobile donations.

The Result

Reason to Dance now has a polished, professional platform that has helped them raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for pediatric research and child life programs. The site is fast, secure, and serves as a reliable digital foundation that grows with the event each year, ensuring that the focus remains on the dancers and the children they support.
