I designed the original digital home for The Training Station using WordPress and the Enfold theme. This project holds a unique place in my professional history as it was the very first website I built, serving as the digital foundation for my own previous business. I focused on a high-energy, “community-first” aesthetic, designed to bridge the gap between intensive physical training and the digital presence required to sustain a modern fitness and martial arts brand.

As the business transitioned from a physical location to an online-only model, the website became the primary representative of its legacy. This project was the catalyst for the many sites like this I now build and manage, proving that a well-architected digital platform can outlast a physical storefront. I engineered the site to be a robust resource hub, ensuring that years of expertise in personal training remained accessible and professional, even as the business evolved into its current digital-only format.

The Challenge

The primary challenge was managing the pivot from a high-traffic brick-and-mortar facility to a purely online authority. We had to solve the puzzle of translating the physical energy of the training floor into a digital format that felt equally motivating and structured. As the business model shifted, the website needed to move from a “local discovery” tool to a permanent digital archive that could maintain the brand’s professional reputation without the physical backdrop of the gym.

The Strategy

The design strategy focused on “Foundational Identity.” We prioritized a layout that emphasizes the core values of discipline and expertise that defined the physical location. By using bold imagery and clean, action-oriented typography, we established a digital atmosphere that reflects the intensity of the brand. The content strategy was heavily weighted toward Legacy Continuity, ensuring that the transition to an online-only model felt like a natural evolution rather than a closure.

The Result

The Training Station now possesses a polished, high-performance digital presence that perfectly reflects its enduring legacy. The site is fast, secure, and serves as a vital 24/7 representative for the brand’s expertise, successfully bridging the gap between its roots as a physical facility and its future as an online authority.
