I designed a sophisticated digital space for Thom C. Robinson, an award-winning member of the Oil Painters of America (OPA), using WordPress and the Enfold theme. Because his oil paintings are defined by their light and texture, I focused on creating a minimalist “Digital Gallery” that lets the art serve as the focal point. The site is designed to handle high-resolution imagery without sacrificing load speed, ensuring that collectors and gallery owners can see every brushstroke on any device.

I created a structured navigation that feels like walking through a physical exhibition. The design is intentional and quiet, providing an elegant backdrop that complements the traditional mastery of his work while offering a modern, easy-to-use interface for his audience.

An artist’s website faces the unique challenge of having to showcase large, detailed files without the technical backend distracting from the visual experience. For Thom, we needed to solve the problem of organizing a massive, decades-long archive of work into a format that felt curated and professional rather than cluttered.

The design strategy focused on “The Digital Frame.” We prioritized a clean, centered layout with plenty of white space to give the paintings room to breathe. By focusing on a high-contrast, simple aesthetic, we ensured that the colors and compositions of the artwork remained the primary focus for every visitor.
