I designed a professional digital presence for Hakky Shoe Repair & Comfort Shoes using WordPress and the Enfold theme. For a family-owned business with over 30 years of history in the Greenwood area, the design needed to bridge the gap between traditional old-world craftsmanship and modern retail. I focused on a clean, visual-first layout that highlights their specialized repair services and their extensive line of comfort and orthopedic footwear.

To ensure the site functions as both a service directory and a product showcase, I implemented a structured navigation system. This allows customers to easily explore high-quality repair options—from full soles to leather patch work—while also learning about advanced technology like the Aetrex iStep® foot scanning system. By prioritizing a fast, mobile-responsive design, I ensured that local customers can find the shop’s location and contact details quickly while on the move.

The challenge was to organize a diverse range of offerings—including orthopedic lifts, comfort walking shoes, and intricate leather repairs—into a layout that felt accessible and professional without losing the “family-owned” personal touch.

The design strategy focused on “Visual Authority.” We used dedicated sections for Repair Services and Comfort Products to ensure that both sides of the business received equal focus. By highlighting their specific brand partnerships (like Aetrex and Wolverine) and their unique orthopedic capabilities, we established them as the premier destination for foot comfort and repair in Central Indiana.
